BRIDGE INc. Edward Earl Frye Sr. Scholars

Every once in a while, you are blessed to come in contact with a being who is gifted with undeniable musical talent. Edward Earl Frye Sr. was definitely known as one of those individuals. What made Edward Earl Frye Sr. so unique is that he found every opportunity possible to leverage his musical gifts to bring joy to those around him. 

As a high school student and drum major, he brought electrifying energy to crowds as he led the Ocilla High & Industrial School band. As an adult he committed his life to Christ and leveraged his soul stirring voice to spread hope, love and joy in congregations across the southeast.Deacon Frye didn't have the opportunity to finish high school, but worked hard to ensure his kids walked across the Tift County High School stage on graduation day. 

Deacon Frye transitioned to his heavenly home in June of 2018 and left a gapping hole in the world of his family and friends.  This scholarship was created by his family to honor his legacy.   BRIDGE Inc., founded by his daughter, will award two $500 scholarships to high school seniors who use their musical talents to spread joy, hope and love in the same way that he did.
